Alpha - Chapter Two

The angel Gabriel was called before the Father. He was told to go forth and prepare the way. He descended from the heavens until he was just above great multitudes of people upon the Earth. He flew over the multitudes(although he had no wings) and everywhere he flew, he caused a path to be opened among the people. The people were not aware of the angel above them.

The Lord bade His prophet to walk upon the path the angel had caused proclaiming, "Prepare the way for the Lord!."

The Lord came forth from His Place of Glory and followed the prophet. As the prophet neared the end of his journey, the Lord, more radiant than the brightest sun, began to overtake the prophet and I could see the prophet no more. He overtook the angel and I could see the angel no more.

Then all the Earth was filled with the wondrous radiance of the Lord!

* * * * * *

The Lord was filled with Glory. It radiated from within His Being for He was the source of the Glory. Therefore, wherever He went, He took His Glory with Him.

He was dressed as a Bridegroom preparing to take His Bride to Himself. He was filled with great joy!

I saw a radiant city. It was so fair, so pure, so holy that I cried to a great angel who was standing in a high place, "I cannot bear to look upon this city for it fills me with great sadness."

"Why are you sad?" he asked.

"Because it is so pure that no one is worthy to enter its gate... "

Then I saw a river, pure as the city itself, flowing from its center. It passed under the wall next to the gate, the gate that no one could enter. To the left of the city, I saw great multitudes of people standing before a glorious Throne.

Each person was called in his turn to stand before the Throne. He was then sent toward the city so pure or away from the city in the opposite direction. Those who were sent toward the city had first to pass through the river which flowed from its center. As they came up out of the waters, I saw that they had been cleansed from all unholiness and were standing spotless before the gate, where they were told to wait.

The angel said, "This is the Great Judgment. When it is completed, the Father and The Son shall make the City their dwelling place. Those who have been cleansed by the waters will be allowed to enter the gate to worship there, but only the Father and the Son shall abide in the City. And the gate shall never be closed."

I saw a mountain and a desert lay at its base. No living thing could be seen for there was no river to water the arid land. As I watched, I saw a spring of sparkling, pure water appear at the very peak of the mountain. The water was alive as it cascaded down the mountain side, laughing and shouting with glee! It formed a wide river running through the desert. Everywhere the river flowed, blossoms burst forth until the desert was ablaze with new life!

I heard an awesome voice, "Woe to the inhabitants of the Earth!"

The Father reached down with His mighty right hand and shook the very foundations of the Earth as a great wind would shake a tender sapling. The seas swept out of control as the waves roared and crashed and ships were like corks in a storm. Mountains fell in great heaps and everywhere was chaos.

The people were filled with terror and had nowhere to hide, for all the world was convulsed and in great dread.

The Father withdrew His hand and a terrible calm came over all the Earth. Not a leaf rustled nor was there a ripple on the surface of the waters.

The people of Earth credited this terrible calm to a man who rose forth claiming that it was he who had restored peace to the world. And the people paid him homage.

But the people of the Lord knew that it was their God who had done this dreadful thing and they refused to pay homage to the man. The world turned with great wrath upon God's people, for they believed the one claiming to have this great power and they were fearful lest he create the awful havoc again. They feared and hated God's people and caused them great distress.

The Earth was in great darkness. It was as though a line had been dropped from heaven to separate the light from the darkness. The line touched the tip of the Earth at its farthest point east, but it did not enter the Earth.

All to the right of the line was in complete light. All to the left of the line, the Earth and beyond, was in total darkness.. I saw that the light would not enter the darkness. I wondered how those who wished to be filled with the light could be filled since it would not enter into the world of darkness.

The Lord said, "It is not yet time for Me to enter. Those who wish to be filled with My Light are free to come forward. That is why you see the light touching the Earth but not entering. They may come to the light to be filled. When they return into the world of darkness, My Light shall be as a lamp unto them that they may see the path clearly and not fall or stumble."

"Lord," I asked, "Why do not all the people come to the Light for it is wondrous to behold?"

"Because they do not wish to come," He answered with great sadness."They prefer to walk in the darkness for their thoughts are evil and their ways are willful. I do not enter the darkness because those who do not wish to see will be able to see and those who do not wish to believe will be able to believe. That is not the Father's way. He waits for them to come because they want to come. In this way is the desire of the heart revealed."

I looked upon the Earth and saw that all of those who had received the light (for they gave off a little glow) were being drawn toward each other until all the little lights became one large light.

They stood as one like a circle of light facing the people who had joined together indarkness. They stood facing each other. Though the circle oflight was small indeed compared to the darkness covering the Earth, it wasshining forth with great brilliance.

The Lord spoke to those standing in the light, "You must stand firm in the knowledge of My Word."

* * * * * *

I saw the circle of light standing to the east, very close to the Light, but not touching it. It was facing a great darkness when I saw what looked like a dragon rising from the west from the bottom of space until he was standing before the circle of light. He was filled with great anger and sought to destroy those in the light.

I saw the Lord seated on His large white steed. He said, "I know your heart is full of confusion. You may ask anything you wish concerning what has been shown to you, but you may not ask about future events."

"I would like to know the meaning of Grace," I said, "For much of what You have shown speaks of the Father's Grace."

I heard an Awesome Voice, "Behold mother with child."

I saw a mother with a newborn baby in her arms. I saw how helpless was the tiny baby and how full of love was the mother's heart. The infant's needs were many and constant and the mother was spent from her delivery. Of this, however, she never gave a moment's notice, for her whole being held but one desire - to care for the helpless baby. Her tenderness and concern touched my heart and I wept, for her selfless love was beautiful to behold. Her pure love made her unaware of her own needs.

I heard the gentlest of voices, "This is My Grace. This is how I love My creation. Behold yet greater depths of Grace."

I saw the line that dropped from heaven separating the light from the darkness, the light touching the Earth but not entering. I saw the circle of light, which was God's people, standing very close to the light but not touching it. The Lord was seated on His large white steed in the light that would not enter the darkness. A vast army clothed in spotless white garments seated on spotless white horses was standing behind the Lord. There was not a single sound.

To the far left, which was to the west, I saw an enormous black cloud close to the Earth, but not touching it. The cloud was darkness unlike any darkness that man had ever known, for it had no light in it whatsoever. The cloud of terrible darkness began to creep over the Earth.

As it progressed, it left behind the same awful darkness which it was. When it had finished its progression, the entire Earth was plunged into blackness, blacker than all the nights, except for the circle of light. The cloud continued its onward path until it pushed the circle of light off the Earth. Total darkness prevailed.

The circle of light was told to go stand behind the army dressed in white.

I saw the Lord and all His army advancing toward the Earth. It entered, and started to push the darkness before it. The peoples on Earth were unaware of the advancing army, just as they had been unaware of the black cloud, all the people except the Jews. They had been awaiting their Messiah and recognized Him as He and His army continued pushing aside the darkness, replacing it with the light of the Lord. They ran toward Him with eager hearts, falling at His feet, acknowledging Him as Lord and Savior.

The army continued its path across the world until the black cloud was pushed off the face of the Earth. The world was filled with light, which was the Lord.

I was amazed to see that all of earth's people were allowed to live in the perfect light, regardless of the fact that they had chosen to dwell in darkness when the choice had been theirs.

Suddenly the awful dark cloud was advancing once more! It was allowed to push the light from the face of the Earth a second time, but it was done swiftly. For a very short time, the darkness reigned over those who had not gone with the Lord (for the Lord had taken those who had been in the circle and the Jews with Him). Those who had chosen the darkness over the circle of light before the cloud had pushed it from the Earth, chose once more to remain in the darkness, even though they had been allowed to live in the Lord's perfect light for a time.

The Lord appeared swiftly. He banished the cloud of darkness with a word! The Darkness was banished forever and all those who had chosen it.

I stood in awe as my heart filled with the knowledge of the indescribable justice of the Father. Every man had been given the privilege of living in the light, whether he chose or not, so there was not a man who could say that he had not seen the light and that the choice between the light and the darkness had been his alone..

The Father's Grace was unbelievable to behold and great was His mercy and justice.

"Lord," I said, "Will you help me understand the soul of man, for I cannot believe how he has hardened his heart?"

He answered, "All of creation lives under the law of My Word and My Word is infallible. To understand the soul of man, you must understand My Law."

"Every part of creation has been established through My Word. Once spoken, it becomes an infallible Law. When I spoke the universe into being, it became a law unto itself. When I spoke the Earth into being, it became a law unto itself. When I spoke man into being, he became a law unto himself. But the law of man is unique."

I then saw the Lord speak, and man was brought into being. He was placed between two forces, one which was above, which is the Father,and one which was below, which was called Evil. The man did not respond. Then I saw a halo of light appear all around the man, but not touching him. Each man was given the same amount of light, which was a very portion of the Great Light which was God.

I heard the name of the halo of light. It was called a "Seed of Faith." The same instant that he received the Seed, he was able to respond to the two forces.

There was a great distance between the two with a line drawn across the center of a field which separated them. Man was placed on the line. He was drawn equally in both directions - first toward one force, then toward the other. It seemed man would continue in this endless struggle.

Then I saw that if he approached one of the forces more closely, that force was able to exert a greater influence on him so that he was less apt to cross over the line. Indeed, if he came very close to the force, he suddenly became one with it and the other no longer had any influence whatsoever. If more than one joined together as they approached either source, the influencewas much greater than if approached alone.

"Lord," I asked, "What is the meaning of this?"

He answered, "Man is unique in creation, for to him and him alone has been given the right to choose. The Word has spoken it and so it is law. This is the law under which man lives - that his choices are his own."

"Lord," I said, "If all of Your creation is under law, will You teach me how to pray according to Your Law?"

I saw the Father in heaven and one standing on Earth. It was as though a current was proceeding from the Being of the Father and came to rest on the one on Earth. The current was charged with great power, but it did not flow into the one standing there. It rested upon him but did not enter. I understood that the Father's desire was that the one on Earth be filled with the great power that was flowing from His Being.

Suddenly the yearning of the one standing there became one with the Father's yearning and the joining of the two was able to release the Father's desire!

"I understand!" I said to the Lord. "When man's desire is the same as the Father's desire, the Father's power is released to accomplish that which He desires! That is the Law of Prayer!"

I saw seven angels dressed in spotless white robes, each holding a trumpet to his lips. The trumpets were pure gold, long and slender, fluted at the ends. Above each angel was a cloud. I heard the name of the cloud. It was called "A Thunder."

The first angel blew his trumpet. As he did so, the thunder crashed and a swift bolt of lightning sped to Earth. The bolt was called "The Judgment of Pride." And Pride was judged.

The second angel blew his trumpet. The thunder crashed and a swift bolt of lightning sped to Earth. It was called "The Judgment of Arrogance." And Arrogance was judged.

The third angel blew his trumpet. The thunder crashed and a swift bolt of lightning sped to Earth. It was called "The Judgment of Greed." And Greed was judged.

The fourth angel blew his trumpet. The thunder crashed, a swift bolt of lightning sped to Earth. It was called "The Judgment of Lust." And Lust was judged.

The fifth angel blew his trumpet. The thunder crashed and a swift bolt of lightning sped to Earth.It was called "The Judgment of Envy." And Envy was judged.

The sixth angel blew his trumpet. The thunder crashed and a swift bolt of lightning sped to Earth. It was called "The Judgment of Those Who Reviled the Name of God." And all those who reviled the Name of God were judged.

With the sounding of each trumpet, the Father's wrath grew until it seemed His wrath was about to erupt with horrible intensity!

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet. All the thunders crashed with great vengeance. The lightnings flashed and sped to Earth. It was called "The Judgment of All Who Mocked God's Holy Name." And all those who mocked God's Holy Name were judged.

Heavenly voices were raised, "At last! At last! It is finished! Your Judgments are just and true, oh Father! The world will mock Your Holy Name no more! At last Your Holy Name will be vindicated!"

The Lord was dressed in a shepherd's robe walking in a field. "What do you see?" He asked.

"I see nothing but many stones lying scattered about," I answered.

"Look more closely," He said.

I looked and saw an inscription on one of the stones. It was quite ordinary, not much different from all the other stones. On it was written, "TheTen Commandments."

We walked further when I saw another stone with an inscription. It read, "The Church."

"There is another stone. Keep looking."

I asked, "Lord, if there is something special about the stone, why does it not stand out from all the others so that it is more easily recognizable?"

"If it appears ordinary all would pass it by except for those who are diligently seeking."

Then in the distance I saw a stone more radiant than all the suns together and I ran toward it as fast as I could. The Lord was standing next to it. I picked it up and was filled with wonder at its radiance. As I held it in my hand, I felt it throbbing as though it had a heart beat. "Why, it's a living stone!" I cried.

* * * * * *

The Lord was standing in a high place looking down on the Earth. He was standing directly over the circle of light, which was the Lord's people. High above the church were two tablets of stone. On one was written "Law." On the other was written "Grace."

"These are the two witnesses who stand before all the Earth. Man has been given two choices to come to Me... the way of the Law or the way of Grace. Those who choose the Law shall be judged by the Law. Those who choose Grace shall be judged by Grace."

I saw what looked like a drape falling gracefully from the two tablets forming a tent over the church. Although it seemed weighty, it also seemed somehow fragile and transparent.

A horseman appeared on a bridge which spanned the diameter of the circle of light swiftly racing toward one who was waiting. He was holding a banner on high. He stopped and handed the banner to her. Suddenly she was seated on a white steed proudly bearing the banner... and waited.

The boundaries began to crumble and there was the Lord seated on His white steed.. He was coming for His Bride. The Bride, the one holding the banner, was filled with exceeding great joy. A child came forth, took hold of the reins of her steed and led a glorious procession to the Wedding Feast.

After the feasting was over, all who had attended were filled with amazing peace and joy, each going to his own dwelling place.

* * * * * *

There was a vast universe filled with the glory of God. It looked like a huge, radiant sphere of transparent gold. At the base of the glorious sphere stood a man , stark, alone and naked except for a loin cloth girded about his waist.

"Behold My Son!" came a voice from above.

A lonely, silent figure. Below Him stood multitudes of people. The Son seemed so vulnerable, so meek.

The people raised their fists, spat upon Him, reviled Him, cursed Him and made mockery. The Son of God. Great was the wrath of God, the Father.

What appeared to be wings emerged from the Son. The wings hoveredover all of the multitudes as though protecting them, protecting thosewho had scourged and reviled Him.

The Father hurled His Awful Judgment upon the Earth... but the multitudes were spared. It was the Son who bore the wrath.

When the Father's wrath was spent, the Son slowly, tenderly enveloped those who called on His Name within the folds of His wings, holding them gently to His breast as a mother would hold her beloved child.

"You are forgiven. You are healed. You are made whole," said the Son. He turned, raised His face to the heavens and said, "Father,I bring You an offering... a perfect, spotless offering."

* * * * * *

The Lord was standing before the Heavenly Council. Momentous events were about to occur.

The Lord's Being filled the universe. Heaven and Earth were silent.

He was standing before the Prince of Darkness. "Let My people go!"

He turned to His people. With gentle voice He said, "Come."

* * * * * *

The Lord was speaking to His people, "Don't be ashamed of Me."

"How could we possibly be ashamed of You?" they cried.

He continued speaking, "To those who are weary and heavy-burdened, say,'Come'. To those who are lame in limb and spirit, say, 'Come'. To those who are oppressed, say, 'Come'. To those who are humble of heart, say,'Come'. And do not be ashamed of Me."

* * * * * *

I asked the Lord why the world was so full of misery and sickness.

He said, "The ills of mankind are caused by three things - hate, fear and guilt. Those who are weary and heavy-laden are burdened with guilt. Those who are sick of mind and body are burdened with fear. Those who are lame of limb and spirit are burdened with hate. Those who are oppressed and humbled are victims of the proud and haughty."

Come. I shall show you the beginnings of man's woes and the way to restoration."

I saw a tremendous burst of light, so charged with energy was the light that it brought forth life.

The new life was cradled in a perfect love and knew nothing other than love.

Love's enemy, Hate, came before man to tempt him away from all that was good and perfect, seeking to destroy the harmony.

At man's first encounter with Hate, he became frightened for he was not familiar with it... And fear entered the human race.

Fear, being an experience he had not known before, man succumbed to the temptation to disobey his Creator, who was Love. He was no longer in perfect communion with his God. And Guilt entered the human race.

Fear and Guilt caused him much confusion and anger. Hate entered the human race.

All that was contrary to Love was now in command.

First, Man was created through an act of love. Hate appeared and caused fear. Fear caused guilt and guilt caused hate.

The hate, the fear, the guilt became man's way of life. He accepted it. Gone from his memory was the perfection which once had been his, but wasno more.

The Plan of Restoration which had been determined long ages past was set into motion.

The Father sent His Son into the world of fear, guilt and hate to do what Man could not do.

Hate confronted the Son of God. The Son did not succumb to fear. Hate was thwarted.

Fear confronted the Son of God. The Son was guiltless so He did not succumb to fear. Fear was thwarted.

Hate confronted the Son of God with temptation. The Son replied, "You shall not tempt the Lord, your God." Hate was thwarted forevermore.

The process of Restoration began.

When the Lord appeared before the world, Man was filled with fear of Him for he was no longer familiar with his God. He was familiar only withhate, fear and guilt. So long had he lived beneath its burden.

The Lord offered Forgiveness and Man was able to overcome Guilt.

The Lord offered Knowledge of His Word and Man was able to overcome Fear.

The Lord offered God's Grace and Man was able to overcome Hate.

The Plan of Restoration was complete. Man could stand in the presence of God once more.

* * * * * *

The Lord was standing before what looked like a door. There were hosts of angels to His left and to His right. They were praising Him and casting what looked like perfect, soft white rose petals which were falling gently at His feet.

The Lord opened the door and there was a book lying on a stand. I stepped forward to touch the book when an angel swiftly stepped forward blocking my way. "You must not touch it for no hand is worthy to hold it!"

I saw that it was so delicate that if a human hand so much as brushed against it, it would instantly dissolve just as a snowflake would dissolve when falling on a warm hand.

"If no one is worthy to open the book," I cried, "Who can open it to see what it contains?"

The Lord stepped forward and took it in His hand. So gentle was His touch. But it was not a book, rather it was a box. He removed the lid and took out a golden key. It was the Key to Paradise.

He said, "When one's touch becomes as gentle as My touch, that one mayenter Paradise. There will he learn that for which he was created."

* * * * * *

I saw an angel and his name was Gabriel. He said, "The Lord has sent me to show the very beginning of beginnings."

Suddenly there was nothing... a vast emptiness without a stirring or a sound.

Then I saw the Nature of God. which is Love. Within His Being, He created Law so that all He created would be under His Law and, therefore, infallible. His Law was created as an act of love.

Gabriel explained that before the process of creation could begin, it was necessary for the Father to cause Time to be in which to place His creation. Then each segment of creation was called into being following the law which the Father had already established. Each segment contained life in itself, for the Father is Life and all that He brought about contained a portion of His own life.

The process of creation began and had seven phases.

The Father first created a Seed which contained its own unique properties, which would ultimately become that for which it had been ordained. Seven seeds in all went out from the Law, which the Father established in the beginning of beginnings, each fulfilling its own purpose.

They went forth traveling in perfect parallel "lines", each in harmony one with the other. After a period of time, it reached its place of fulfillment and the second step began.

With the second step, each seed was able to reproduce itself in an endless process. Light reproduced itself, the heavens reproduced themselves,the Earth and all it contained reproduced itself. Seven seeds reproduced themselves according to the Law and all were in harmony. All were filled with life, each fulfilling its own purpose and there was order.

The third step was to allow Man's rebellion.

Suddenly, the line which represented man, rebelled against his purpose and the line began to vibrate causing all the other lines to also vibrate. Like a pebble cast into the waters causing ripples to extend further and further. The Law was broken and the harmony disrupted.

All the seeds were filled with life and the other six seeds turned in anger against the man for disrupting the harmony. Someone stepped out of his place in creation, (but it was not from the line which was man) and offered to lead the other "lines" in a rebellion against Man. They agreed and gave him their support, joining together to do harm to the man.

The fourth step was allowing chaos to reign throughout Creation. Gabriel said the Father's heart was filled with sadness for He could not break His law which he had ordained from before the beginning of time.

But His purpose could not be thwarted. With His mighty finger, God erased the line, which was Man, leaving just one man standing alone to start anew.

Since the Father did not erase the other six lines, they were far ahead of man's "line." As the lone man started back on his journey, he was no longer equal to those who had remained within the Law and the Law became his master. He became subject to it and the Law was antagonistic toward the man.

The man trudged through time until a new Man appeared on the "line', one who perfectly fulfilled the original intent. Not only did He fulfill it, but He lived in perfect obedience to the law which was created before Time began. The Perfect Man stepped into Chaos. The Law sought to destroy The Man, but could not. He overcame the Law and was no longer slave to its demands.

Gabriel said the fifth step was Restoration. The new way, which was called Restoration, was named "The Way of Grace." The old way was named "The Way of Law."

Gabriel then said, "Your understanding can hold no more. When the time is ripe, I shall show you the sixth step. The seventh step is when Time is no more..."

* * * * * *

Soon after this, Gabriel appeared and said that it was time to take me back to beginnings once more.

I watched as before, only this time there was only one "line", which was man. The line was traveling on a horizontal plane and it looked like a railroad track, curving toward me four times and away from me three times, seven curves in all, each curve representing a period of time.

The first curve was the place of origins. It represented the origin of generations, for Man was sent out in great numbers as a single group.

The second curve looked like a railroad track high on a trestle with its foundation disappearing far below. There was a rail car carrying each generation in its turn. Each car went forth at an appointed hour. Each generation was given a certain number of days and nothing could change the number, not even death.

The third curve appeared and looked like a conveyor belt. Standing next to the belt were many angels. As the rail car came abreast of the angels, they removed some people and left the others to continue on to the fourth curve.

Those who were continuing on to the fourth curve were being taught to live a new way, but I could not see what that way was.

The fourth curve disappeared and the fifth curve came into view. The rail car stopped. Every generation who had traveled this far was told to get off the car and to wait until all the generations had completed their travels.

When all of the generations had finally gathered together, they lived as one generation.

After a period of time, all the people who had lived as one generation rounded the seventh curve and they were gone from view. They entered eternity and Time was no more.
